Dribble Challenge
Skill related fitness and health related fitness may contain different components but they both can improve just by training to improve in one. For example, practicing your speed can improve your cardio fitness level. This dribble challenge will improve your hand-eye-coordination, agility, and reaction time. This activity requires you to be in groups with an even number of people on the offensive and defensive sides. I chose the dribble challenge because I enjoy people making progress in their skill and watching them in the moment.
To do this dribble challenge you must maneuver your way through the cones while dribbling as a warm up. Then form a group and divide it into an offense and a defense. The defensive half of the group will try to take the ball from the offensive side. If they steal the ball they will then become the offense. The side with the most turnovers at the end of the game loses. This activity can help you work on your ability to work as a team. Continuously playing this game gets very tiring because of all the constant movement. Doing so will improve your cardiovascular fitness and dribbling skills by a fair amount if you practice hard.
